Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 2, 2025 Posted March 2, 2025 It'd be hilarious if Bo signed an extension here, lol.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 2, 2025 Posted March 2, 2025 He'd get Adames money right now, if he puts up a 4+ win season he'll get likely 250ish
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 2, 2025 Posted March 2, 2025 How come the Jays haven't signed Robertson yet, Godammit?

Adames posted a 4.8 WAR season and is much better defensively. Not sure Bo would get that much more if anything.

Adames basically produced a Bo Bichette season in 2024 with a 119 wRC+ and -16 DRS/0 OAA. It's nearly impossible to know what to expect from Adames moving forward. Spanky99 1

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 2, 2025 Posted March 2, 2025 Should be a pretty good lineup today. 👀

I see Bo using Adames' contract as a benchmark and if he might be able to squeeze out more money next offseason if he returns to being the 4-5 WAR player we saw a couple years ago. I think $250M is the max Bo would get regardless. Unless he goes out and puts up a 8-9 WAR season haha.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted March 2, 2025 Posted March 2, 2025 So want to ask this question: Would you rather resign Vladdy to an extension around $500M or Bo for around $200M?

Seems like too much money right now for either..... but I would prefer to answer this question at the end of the season. Spanky99 1

Either of those two numbers could be palatable from the team's perspective depending on total length, AAV and possible deferrals. In a vacuum without knowing any of the details, Bo for 200.
