Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 It will but he needs to learn to compensate by taking better routes to the ball and improve his crow hop Ya his setup before the throw was terrible.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 It will but he needs to learn to compensate by taking better routes to the ball and improve his crow hop Or just play 2b.
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2024 Author Posted June 11, 2024 Ya his setup before the throw was terrible. I think so too, I wish SN would show more than 1 replay.....
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 One thing that grinds my gears is when the Sportsnet broadcast crew makes excuses for every Vladdy ab.... -a little bit in front -just got ahead of that -a little late on that one -just got under it His swing plane and launch angle are s***. -

Omar Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 Brewers pitching really shutting us down tonight. Can we go back to Oakland?
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 Nice work by Little. Eats two innings.

hanton Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2024 Author Posted June 11, 2024 Horwitz has a really nice looking swing - how did they keep that bat in the minors for this long
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 That base hit from Horowitz is what I think he can provide on a consistent basis.
Delgalladay Verified Member Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 I just saw the score. Looks like the Jays offense did what they normally do.
Laika Community Moderator Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 110 mph straight into the ground Lmaooooo
Laika Community Moderator Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 Clutch time Middle middle fastball -17 degree launch angle Lmaoooooo
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 Clutch time Middle middle fastball -17 degree launch angle Lmaoooooo Well, he got the 17 right lol. Maybe he needs to stand on his head.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 Vladdy's swing is broken. He needs someone in his ear other than uncle Wilton.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 Another uninspiring game from our offense and yet my ass will be back watching this horrible product.
Auldphartt Verified Member Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 Once again Captain Kirk shows how much better he is than Boy Jansen. Not only is Kirk's catching so much obviously better than Jansen's but former all-star and silver slugger Kirk has been more productive than never-won-anything Jansen. Sorry Danny Boy. Leadership isn't a popularity contest. Performance matters. The Jays had a winning record this year before Jansen was brought up. We had a better record with Brian Serven (small sample size). Obviously Dalton Varsho is needed in the outfield and Isiah Kiner-Falefa if our best infielder but either one of them would probably be better than Jansen. Catching is too important a defensive position to be wasted on a fly ball hitter.

Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 I missed watching the game. Anyone have video of the Spencer Horowitz base running brain fart? I want to see what happened? Thanks

Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 1 measly run Rea's good. You have to tip your cap. You know, we worked deep in the counts, our EV was solid. We will go out there tomorrow and battle and you know. it is just a matter of time until it all starts clicking.
Olerud363 Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 Watching Spencer Horwitz makes me wonder how Vlad hits like Spencer Horwitz. Spencer Horwitz - Short left handed contact swing naturally hits line drives from line to line at the expense of power, potential 'good' season = .290 14 homers 77 rbis .385 on base Defense - best at first but they seem to be for some reason letting him play other infield positions Vladimir Guerrero Jr - Former Homerun champ with top 3 MLB exit velocity but otherwise broken swing, if you hit enough ground balls at 115 mph some will get through, at least being patient this year, potential good season = .290 14 homers 77 rbis .385 on base. Defense - best at first but they seem to be for some reason letting him play other infield positions Kind of funny. They are kind of the same guy now but different path to get there.

Jansen has the starter quality bat, and Kirk is a great backup as he's an elite defender who can chip in some offense when he isn't overworked behind the plate. The two of them make a great one two punch.

Berrios pitched pretty well but the few mistakes he made were deposited into the seats. The Blue Jays didn't do anything with the mistakes that they received at the plate.
