I am worried about Romano like everyone else but I'm not all that worried about whether he remains the Closer or not for now.

 

Given the state of the bullpen he's going to be getting late innings one way or the other.

 

He either figures it out or he blows the game, whether he blows the game in the 9th or the 8th or 7th doesn't really matter.

Romano can actually benefit from a lot of relatively easier matchups pitching the 9th inning as well. Garcia does the bulk of the heavy lifting against the opposition top/middle of the order and puts out the fires when a rally is brewing, so putting him in the closer role would likely be counterproductive. I am curious to see what type of role Green is typically deployed in as he was previously an all purpose fireman similar to Garcia when he was at his best. If Romano blows a bunch of saves Green would likely be a solid candidate to take over the closer position or an all hands on deck scenario based on matchups could be employed.
