connorp Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2024 Posted May 11, 2024 Nice win even though the temptation is to be like that fan they cut to in Major League when the team wins a few and some fans are happy and he’s like “they’re still s*****” Let’s see
Halloweenjack Verified Member Posted May 11, 2024 Posted May 11, 2024 Let’s hope this result is the catalyst to go on a good run. Go Blue Jays
Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted May 11, 2024 Posted May 11, 2024 Hopefully they can build off this and get on a roll..... ....but....Manoah on the bump tomorrow lol

Don't f*** it up lol
HomeRunHomer Verified Member Posted May 11, 2024 Posted May 11, 2024 It's so nice to see the bats creating some offense. Very nice win.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2024 Posted May 12, 2024 great comeback, signs of life from the offense
Laika Community Moderator Posted May 12, 2024 Posted May 12, 2024 Well f*** me Maybe that's a turning point? Schneider is kind of beasting offensively. Vlad looks to have figured something out for sure, his AVG has rocketed up. Jansen is taking the starting C job and his bat really stretches the lineup. Ernie Clement needs to be in there more often. Two way player. Probably better than Biggio even against RHP. Springer and KK are honestly both at risk, somewhat, of losing at bats.
The_DH Verified Member Posted May 12, 2024 Posted May 12, 2024 gotta admit, his swing has been better since he talked to Teoscar. Not so closed anymore.

Don't f*** it up lol I really hope the Manoah from the first few innings of his last start shows up and the not the guy that was shelled later in the game.
max silver Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2024 Posted May 12, 2024 Am I dreaming? We may not see something like this for another 5 years considering the rebuild. It would be nice if he can go on a bit of a heater and recapture some trade value. Jesus man what is wrong with you. You are like the ultimate buzz kill, lighten the f*** up for once in your miserable life.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2024 Posted May 12, 2024 Hahaha... are bats came through and stepped up for our Ace... our pitching best turn it around or they're toast.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2024 Posted May 12, 2024 DS better play every single game from here on out. He got enough rest days in April. Hopefully he's finally earned some rope from the front office. I don't recall the team having a player make such a dramatic impact with the bat and then having the team literally looking for any possible reason to keep him out of the lineup instead of giving him a chance to see what he can do. Yes, please.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2024 Posted May 12, 2024 It’s gonna happen. Damn, right... you could feel it.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2024 Posted May 12, 2024 The offense is back Swanson is back Jimmy Garcia is back If Romano shows he’s back in the 9th this team is officially back and primed for a run Woohoo!!!
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2024 Posted May 12, 2024 Forgot about Manoah going tomorrow The team will be officially be back on Monday lmao... hoping for a good Manoah, bro. But that was funny AF.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2024 Posted May 12, 2024 Springer and KK are honestly both at risk, somewhat, of losing at bats. I believe so too.

This is a little surprising but Kirk has low key been nearly as hot as Jansen has been with the bat since around the time that Jansen returned. Maybe more days off for Kirk is key to keep his bat fresh but since mid April he's produced a 174 wRC+ in 35 PA, vs 178 wRC+ from Jansen (increased a good amount to 198 wRC+ after tonight). I think that instead of playing Kirk even less the smart move would be more DH time for Jansen, whether that means a little more time at third base for Turner or a few more rest days mixed in for Turner as he's gone ice cold at the plate with only a 75 wRC+ in the same period of time. BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2024 Posted May 12, 2024 I have to admit I thought Davis Schneider might be a flash in the pan who came up like Lawrie to rake and then died. He did rake and the league adjusted. Then he adjusted and he is beating the league again. It’s been really cool to watch 4th liner grinder elevate his play to the top line on our team. (Bad hockey analogy but maybe fits).
