A surprising amount of people will stop watching once their team is out. A cool thing about baseball is the drama and narratives throughout such a long season. It is a bit odd to like baseball enough to follow one team but have zero interest in other games. I can watch any game that affects the blue jays or a different tight playoff race in the regular season and it’s just as interesting.

I do prefer watching meaningful games though so I’d rather watch dodgers and brewers mid season than angels/white Sox just to see ohtani get walked and maybe hit a triple.

I definitely become a more casual viewer once the Blue Jays are out, but that's far from a baseball only thing as I'm the same for every other sport where I have a favorite team that I follow. With baseball specifically I find that after a 6 month season I'm ready to move onto something else, especially if the season ends in bitter disappointment as tends to be the case with the Blue Jays the last 3 seasons. The 2020 season wasn't as disappointing to me as I didn't expect the team to make the playoffs in the first place so any kind of post season play was a bonus, but the last 3 seasons have all ended in a way which soured me on watching a large amount of baseball until the next season rolled around.

I mostly stopped watching because MLB decided that including the playoffs with MLB.tv isn't a good idea, while at the same time complaining that viewership is down. I'll never not be bitter about being a consumer willing to dish out $300 a year for all baseball games and then just not having the option to do that.

I just like that all games are free to stream online now, so it’s hard to pass up when MLB is uploading all their games on a bunch of sites. I guess they did that to try bring more fans to the sport.

After jays are out, I’ll watch til yanks/sox are out. I’m

Exhausted at that point and need the few weeks off before the off-season (which really is the start to the new season)

I never watched the playoffs but heard people say WS worst ever

Not worst ever, that was probably the 2012 sweep of the Tigers. Pitiful effort.

This one kinda sucked but not more than several others. Both CS series went 7 games though so its hard to complain

Yeah I might not renew my MLB TV subscription next season. Postseason should be included FFS.
