If he is struggling to throw the splitter with any command anyone is going to look fastball 3-2. He doesn’t want to walk 2 there. 97 in with movement. Just not in the enough. Tip your cap. Which sucks. We just need to score some runs.

Yup, after 25+ years of watching MLB, I can confirm that leadoff walks often come back to bite you in the rear end.
