jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 (edited) Not sure how can you say this. In all of baseball Blue Jays starting pitching ranks: ERA - 1st WAR - 5th xFIP - 5th Strikeouts - 3rd https://www.fangraphs.com/leaders/major-league?pos=all&stats=pit&lg=all&qual=0&type=8&season=2023&month=0&season1=2023&ind=0&team=0%2Cts&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0 How much more do you want?? polar bear Verified Member Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 The 87 Jays are a bad example and actually weaken your argument. Back then only one team made it through and we had to play that one team to end the season. Neither the Rangers, Stros or Mariners play us again making it impossible for them to run the table against us like Detroit did back then. On top of that they play each other! This is nothing like the 87 scenario. Exactly.
BatFlip Verified Member Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 I'm actually really enjoying this playoff drive, I'd much rather be in a playoff drive with a chance to make the playoffs than not, obviously. But I'm honest about my opinion, I'm honest about what I think of my team, I'm honest about the fact that we're not in the playoffs yet and I'll celebrate when we get there. Okay, friend! We're on the same page there. As a long time fan, I can agree that this has been an especially frustrating team to watch this year..... but the season ain't over yet.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
