hanton is correct. It is the difference between strategy and tactics. As a strategy you don't want to bunt but may employ it as a tactic within the game if necessity dictates. Bottom line: don't bunt.

The math just doesn't work - giving up an out - also bunting is really hard in todays game with the V and stuff - you can foul/miss one or two strikes off and be in a count hole - pop it up or bunt it too hard to the wrong place and the lead runner is forced out anyway.
