Espinal really needs to be demoted after this game. Call up Ernie Clement. He's better defensively, and probably offensively.

They are both performing well at the highest level of the minors. They are playing through September. Barger might even go to AFL to make up for some lost time. Plus they got a full off-season and Spring ahead of them. Young players can get a lot better over that time. Would not be shocked if they both broke camp with team. Also depends what the team looks like. Jays are about to lose potentially 4 regulars and a Starter. Good chance we see significant roster changes. Especially if they miss the playoffs.

I appreciate the info! Admittedly a bit of a casual when it comes to the farm system and inner workings.

I hate the straight leg slide on the bases. So much bad can happen. He was safe easily otherwise.

looked like he was trying a pop up slide be he didn't pop up

Chapman is horrible.

100% no thunder and poor situational skills. First 6 weeks of season he was hitting and Vladdy was getting protection in the lineup. Since then Chapman has to be the least clutch player on this team and this has impacted Vladdy significantly in May/June/July with no protection.

Chapman’s batting order position of 4-5 has had the single most negative impact than any other player on the team for RISP.

My pleasure. Most fans don’t. But a lot of people here follow the farm system closely. I have learned a lot and you will as well.

And a team like the Yankees will overpay him and be disappointed after a few days of the season.

I really don’t think people here hate Varsho. Maybe trolls did but who gives a f*** about them. People were frustrated by him more than anything. And honestly I think it had a lot more to do with coaches f***ing with his swing and approach in Spring. He looked like a shadow of his former self. Now he’s back to looking dangerous with extra base power like last year. His defence never faltered and for that I respect him not losing confidence.

He’ll go through ups and downs over his tenure here in sure. But I hope we don’t ever see an extended funk like he was in there for a while because that was hard to watch.

Even still, at the end of the day he’s an elite defender in the OF and seems like he has a great attitude so he’s an easy guy to root for.

At his best he should be Pillar defense + Rasmus bat.

He will be a 3+ WAR player in CF next season.

I think we would all sign up for that for sure. That’s a good player.
