Yeah if the Jays want to do anything in 2023, then KK has to be in CF and Varsho as far away from a starting spot as possible. He’s like Manoah in the sense that he should be better in 2024, hopefully, but he’s not going to help you now. Something is wrong with him.

This position about being unfair for evaluating the trade for Varsho after one season is totally misguided

It has to work both ways as well

How about Atkins not giving Moreno a chance to prove himself.

If Ross Atkins not being quick to trigger and being shortsighted BUT waited until this deadline and traded Gurriel plus Moreno for a difference maker Outfielder.

How are we not sending Whit in that situation. Pathetic. This team is so frustrating to watch sometimes. We need to be much more aggressive in the bases with the speed we have.

pretty sure he has the green light but he probably didn't have a good read on the lefty Ferguson

Springer and Kirk have combined for 5 GIDP in the last 15 innings

That’s depressing.

Omar bud. I get it man. Its a bit unfair. But we gave up our top prospect...and a RHH LF, which we now need at the deadline. You have to be f***ing sure he is going to come close to 4.7 WAR consistently....he is a lot closer to making 1. If AA made this trade his nuts would be boiled in hot oil and fricasseed.

Maybe so, but you are all looking at this trade in the worst possible light. Varsho is better than what he has shown. He has had the worst two months of his career.

Now we are stuck with Varsho and still needing help in the Outfield and Catching

Just disgusting

That might be the worst part of it all lol.

In the off-season we felt we were deep at Catcher with 3 potential starters.

We needed a young controlable OF that could start for the forseeable future.

Now it feels we have none of those things. I like Jansen but hes injury prone.

Mr. Clutch Jansen no doubt is one of the bright lights of this team this season but I agree he is Mr. Glass

What career? Two years worth? All he's shown is a low OBP and low contact numbers. Regardless of his defence and running into a HR once in a while, he wasn't worth what we gave up.

got to be a big sigh of relief for Cabrera. New team, tie game, dodger stadium and you make your first appearance. Nice job young man!

DFA'ing Thornton to pick him up looks like a no brainer. This guy may suck, but his stuff is much better than Thornton's could ever be.

Not sure if he's injury prone so much as bad luck, seems like he gets beaned on the hands and wrists alot. He may need to go to batting gloves.

Maybe. He had one big year bolstered by D stats. His career wRC+ is 94 in 1400 PAs. He is 27 now. That’s not a LF I want starting on this team. Maybe you can make an argument in CF but we have one better in 23. Maybe next year he moves over.

Varsho broke into the league in 2020. You're being short sighted.

The Jays are not going to re-up KK, most know this is the plan.
