Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 I say you just use Espinal to pitch the 8th.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Go check his numbers for yourself. I have actually. Unlike you I actually try to make informed takes as opposed to knee jerk reactions based on small sample size eye test scouting.
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Cash these baserunners pls. Our BA /w RISP is pretty trash atm. Get that number up.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Teo isn’t exactly lighting it up for Seattle at the moment lol. At least when Varsho is struggling at the plate he provides top tier defense. Ya, I saw his first SEA hit...was 0/12. Smashed one on a line off the wall. Streaky as f*** at plate and steady mediocre on D. Normal Teo.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 LOL If you think a career 100 wRC+ batter is a decent cleanup, you must be a clown. But Zips projects him at a 130 WRc+ so it's a no brainer batting him clean up. Lol..

Unlike you I actually try to make informed takes as opposed to knee jerk reactions based on small sample size eye test scouting. I looked at his career stats right when we acquired him. f*** you assuming I'm basing my decision based on four games. GTFOH with your self righteous ********.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Agree. I'm just getting used to no Teo. Zips has Varsho projected at 131 wRC+. All over that! Different type of hitter for sure. Varsho feels like KK with more pop.

Raezor19 Verified Member Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 I guess if I'f I'm Berrios I look at my 12+ era, wipe my brow and go pheeew... at least I'm not 21+
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 But Zips projects him at a 130 WRc+ so it's a no brainer batting him clean up. Lol.. Nobody said its a no-brainer, they said it’s justifiable
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 I looked at his career stats right when we acquired him. f*** you assuming I'm basing my decision based on four games. GTFOH with your self righteous ********. So you haven’t seen him play before this year?
Captain_Obvious Verified Member Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Great run prevention on this team. 9 runs, 4 runs, 9 runs, 9 runs (so far).
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Nobody said its a no-brainer, they said it’s justifiable He shouldn't be auditioning projected numbers in the clean up spot when you have a career 100 wRC+.

GTFOH with your self righteous ********. So you don’t think that a young hitter who showed good power last year, did very well in the minors, and has been steadily improving each season, isn’t capable of improving further to expect him to be a good enough presence at the top of the lineup, particularly against RHP against whom he’s already showed early success against?
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Great run prevention on this team. 9 runs, 4 runs, 9 runs, 9 runs (so far). Lol yeah hasn’t looked good at all. A few errors leading to some runs mixed in there as well. I can forgive those scores against the Cardinals since they’re easily a top 5 offense. But we shouldn’t be getting our s*** pushed in by the f***ing Royals.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 He shouldn't be auditioning projected numbers in the clean up spot when you have a career 100 wRC+. His career 100 wRC+ has come in his ages 23-25 seasons. 111 against RHP btw. Ever heard of projecting a young hitter with good pedigree to get better? Or do you only save that for players drafted by the Blue Jays?
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 He shouldn't be auditioning projected numbers in the clean up spot when you have a career 100 wRC+. Who should hit 4th?
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 The Killer Bees (Berrios/Bassitt) are going to give us all ulcers this season. Glad I missed this game. ps. We’re making the playoffs.
el duque Verified Member Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 well the best of the night thanks Bo

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Holy s*** a home run Dammit I missed it
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Nice Bo, he’s had a great game. Two crushed balls and another decent AB.
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Another one of those games where Berrios didn't even have to be good, he just had to not get f***ing obliterated.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 So you haven’t seen him play before this year? Mostly in high light reels. You?
