Big step down from Teo. I like Varsho. He hit that pretty well, but don't see his bat as a realistic 4 option. Rather see Belt there if he can get it going.

Varsho has never been a good hitter in his career. I don't get why this guy is batting 4th.

His wRC+ was only 106 last year.

Varsho projects pretty well as a hitter, moreso against RHP than lefties. I don’t think he should bat cleanup against southpaws, but it’s really not an indefensible decision to have him cleanup against right handers.

Good stuff from Pop, mammoth homer aside. With that said he simply has to be sent down for a reliever from AAA, we need fresh arms and he’s already put up far too many innings this early into the season.
