Biggio has tons of speed. bunt up the first base line against a high leverage reliever...move the runner to second, score the run....put pressure on the D....one of the rare instances a bunt made sense.....Merrifield has been struggling and was in against their best reliever.

They were discussing it Sunday I believe. His bat angle just before he swings has changed from last year (more of an angle) and its causing the ground balls along with a more closed step than open (last year). Today it looks like he is more off the plate as well which i believe he was last season

 

They have also been working on hitting the low pitches in the air more
