I think it's fair to say Bichette is still a good player, but not a cornerstone type that people thought Vlad + Bo would be. You can certainly live with a 3-ish WAR SS with a somewhat risky offensive profile for the years he's under team control, but he wouldn't be a player you'd want to commit to beyond that for big money. Guys with low walk rates in general scare me.

Jays end up not making the post season, I'm not going to argue with someone who points to Bo as a primary reason.

 

I have very little concern over the club missing the playoffs, however there will be plenty of blame to go around if the Jays miss the post season. You could certainly argue Bo's underperformance would be a factor, but getting essentially nothing out of Ryu, Pearson missing most of the season yet again, undermanned bullpen, George Springer's body breaking down again and Danny Jansen missing a huge chunk of time will all be equally as important if not more so.
