gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2022 Posted July 16, 2022 I would actually consider pinch hitting with Biggio for Chapman here.
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2022 Author Posted July 16, 2022 Damn he hit it well, just at someone; ugh
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2022 Posted July 16, 2022 Kirk looking at him like You Mother f***er. Sorta looks like he's eyef***ing him...
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2022 Posted July 16, 2022 Was that a missed hit and run from Espinal?
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2022 Posted July 16, 2022 This is a spot I would have Biggio hitting for Espinal but because Kirk is out of the game. You have to hold him back. Hard to believe Espinal made the All-Star team with .638 OPS vs RHP.
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2022 Author Posted July 16, 2022 Was that a missed hit and run from Espinal? ya prolly; Gurriel was looking to the plate rather than full on stride for steal The ball was no where near hittable though
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2022 Posted July 16, 2022 I think they need to get him on a proper strength training program. He has a tremendous natural ability to gain size. I think he should be taking full advantage of it. Start by getting his Macros on track, trim some body fat, and then add lean muscle. He could be an absolute monster. If they could just get him into the 15-18% body fat range he could be a different kind of athlete. My best guess he’s currently closer to 25-30% which is trending towards Obese. He really hasn't had a proper off season (nobody has), hopefully w/ no pandemic and no labour dispute he'll be able to work at the new facility to get his s*** going next year. Also, that was a dumb steal attempt. And why do people slide foot first when stealing? They all wear those oven mitts now...

Must have been a hit and run and it bounced so badly no 2 strike effort to hit it by Espy? A straight steal to Lourdes is dumb. He is slow as f***. That was a brutal out on the bases again.

BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2022 Posted July 16, 2022 Yeah, but you still need to offer at it regardless. Could have bought the base runner an extra half second. 2 strikes and 2 out I think. It was such a bad pitch bouncing I don't think he could have offered and touched it. Any runner with any speed would have safe by a lot.

gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2022 Posted July 16, 2022 Calling a Springer walk off I'm kind of feeling that also.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2022 Posted July 16, 2022 There was one strike on Espy. I don't think I've ever seen a hit and run put on with two strikes, unless the count is full. I just replayed it on PVR. It was 2-2 100%. Ya if it was a hit and run it was a weird call. If it was a straight steal it was worse.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2022 Posted July 16, 2022 If we could just add a couple late inning relievers with swing and miss stuff. Moving the likes of Mayza, Garcia, Cimber, and Phelps into their more suited MR roles. I feel this bullpen would be more than competent. It’s frustrating they didn’t even attempt to fix this in the off-season. Are they willing to give up assets for these types of relievers because they definitely are out there if you’re willing to pay for it. And not just rentals either. Teams that aren’t contending for a couple years have no advantage of holding onto these types of arms.

Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2022 Author Posted July 16, 2022 Wow. 85 hanger. I don't think that's ever coming back if he swung at it.

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2022 Posted July 16, 2022 Should we get Chapman Only if we are moving Kikuchi in the deal.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2022 Posted July 16, 2022 Please burn these red jerseys They’re cursed. Don’t ever wear these except for July 1st
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2022 Posted July 16, 2022 Please burn these red jerseys Here’s another spot where elite relievers know when they need to miss the bat. Absolutely no contact.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2022 Posted July 16, 2022 Take him out. Hes to important to your future. Get some ice on that right away.
