Known originally as the Philadelphia Quakers in their early years, the team eventually changed names to be the Philadelphians which was commonly shortened to the Phillies.

Ownership decided to freshen things up in the early 1940s and attempted to change the team moniker to Blue Jays. The team wore a Blue Jay patch on their uniforms for a few seasons, but fans kept calling them the Phillies and Blue Jay was eventually scrapped.

Vlad was sitting sliders only got 1. Kirk got a fastball and then flailed on the sliders lol

Hernandez makes the adjustment and hits the fastball

But another out on the base paths

Why the hell would he try to stretch that for a triple with them having a hard time scoring runs?

In his defense, he beat the throw. just slid off.

What? Why not? Teo can run (fastest behind Zimmer and Moreno) and that split the OF and went to the wall.

He came off, but I'd take that aggressive running every single time with 2 outs on the board.
