I didn't see it well. Looked like he froze in case IF was in behind him on liner and took a step back. Did he not run hard to 3B after it was clear it was by IF and dropping?

Yea he must have got a bad read on how hard it was hit but still, he really should have been able to tell that wasn’t going to be caught. He took a step back after it hit the deck.
