Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2022 Posted July 1, 2022 Faucher was the most surprised guy in the stadium that they threw through lol. That almost took his head off.
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2022 Posted July 1, 2022 lol Vladdy is like "how did I miss that?"
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2022 Posted July 1, 2022 Vlad doing his best Teo impression, f***ing hell.
Dagagad Verified Member Posted July 1, 2022 Posted July 1, 2022 Vlad is kind of becoming an easy out if you can place a slider close enough away. Which is pretty surprising. I always thought he had a great eye for spin. That shouldn’t be effected by how well you are swinging it.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 1, 2022 Posted July 1, 2022 Vlad close to getting back on the off speed. Much better swing that AB
Laika Community Moderator Posted July 1, 2022 Posted July 1, 2022 Vlad two years ago had a hole in his swing up and in. He was far and couldn't turn on it and he'd ground them like 80% of the time. Now he has a huge hole down and away and the league just pounds it continuously. He can't lay off that spot often enough and he doesn't make contact enough either. Hmmm
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2022 Posted July 1, 2022 Bo and Vlad kills another rally. How many times have we seen that this year. Must be the theme of the movie!
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 1, 2022 Posted July 1, 2022 Might be time to flip Bo with Gurriel in the lineup

Hmmm It’s weird because he’s supposed to have a good eye. That’s an auto take for Kirk or biggio. I mean biggio is also taking it if it’s a strike but whatever.

In my memory he would just shoot those pitches the other way for singles like Miggy...

Difference in the last month is he stopped. Last two games has started swinging again
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2022 Posted July 1, 2022 Gotta love Chapmans max effort on every foul ball. He's like the anti Teo on D
Laika Community Moderator Posted July 1, 2022 Posted July 1, 2022 He does need tips from Kirk, unironic. Kirk can drive that low away pitch even when it's a slider off the plate a bit

Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2022 Posted July 1, 2022 Phelps just can't help himself not walking people anymore?

Don't know what his next evolution will be.
Dagagad Verified Member Posted July 1, 2022 Posted July 1, 2022 Phelps stuff isn’t good enough to be this wild. Also, god damn does our bullpen love to give free bases to the other team when they are chasing a lead. We didn’t get the swing and miss but we do get the walks!! Worst of both worlds.

Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2022 Posted July 1, 2022 @Dagagad I mean this is the spot you use Phelps in lol 3-run lead. You just put him to get outs. He doesn't need to have lights out stuff. If he gets a run in, then you need your elite relievers. Why would you burn your elite relievers here and not have them tomorrow when it might be tighter?
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2022 Author Posted July 1, 2022 Couple of good things from the youtube broadcast: Good player interviews during games. The one with Gausman was very good (he sang the praises of Kirk). George Springer mic'd up during the game. During the longer ab's they show a graphic of the the pitch sequence with corresponding velo's.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2022 Posted July 1, 2022 Just checked score. Wow. kooch! Always loved that guy! 3 more outs! Go Jays!
