It was a decision with bad results. If Cease threw his slider there (which they seemingly timed), Bo probably would've been safe. He guessed wrong and Cease pumped a fastball in.

Considering how the hitters were doing, I can see why he wanted to get to 3rd where a sac fly/groundout to right would've scored him.

 

He was trying to make it happen, manufacture a run all by himself.
