DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 Welp..there it is...offense has to start hitting.
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 There it is… surprised they were held scoreless for that long
lgeuther Verified Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 Game over the way this s***** offense has been.
goldbug103 Verified Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 Another game with some real ugly at bats for the Jays. Watching them, it looks like every opponent's starter is a candidate for the Cy Young. Seems Vlad is 0-2 in every at bat and just getting himself out. His outs are either strike outs or putrid ground balls. This is is weird for such a talented hitter.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 Debateable. I know in some situation like that you want to project a larger throwing target, but Vlads poretty mcuh the same width no matter which way he is facing, so RF on the bag and LF stretching for the throw makes more sense. Not how it works. From the catcher or pitcher on bunts, drop 3rd strike, swinging bunts it will be left foot on the base
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 Stripling getting hit hard now
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 Stripper getting exposed. He might still get a QS but not if Thornton comes in
Jays2champs Verified Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 That's what happens when your last string starter starts against the Yankees. Would've been nice to have our top guys playing, what do you want to do. Still doable if the offense wakes up.
Signal Verified Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 So do the Jays manage a hit this inning?
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 Not how it works. From the catcher or pitcher on bunts, drop 3rd strike, swinging bunts it will be left foot on the base I'm well aware of the general idea and times when the book says to always go left foot on the base. I just think that in some of those situations, depsite it's intent, it fails, like that time.

Jays2champs Verified Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 At least Springer does his thing nightly. Need to get going here.
BlueJays Verified Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 A single by Springer again. Better not be the same from the 1st inning
