These are the kind of games I will look back at if we are in a close playoff race. Making the decision to sit Springer 2 days before an off day when your lineup was already weaker with injuries. Sticking with Ryu when he has shown nothing to suggest he will consistently string outs together.

I'd actually leave Ryu out there. He and Kirk need to figure it out. I'd rather ruin one game now than 5 more later.

Yeah I agree, there’s no way they’re kicking Ryu out of the rotation this early. He’s gonna get at least 2-3 more starts vs good teams (Astros/Redsox/Yankees). He’s gotta pitch better or the FO will be forced to take action.

It sucks to think we have to potentially pull the plug on this game but you’re right.
