Why do folks want to trade gurriel?

I honestly don’t know. They don’t like incredible value I guess. Unless we’re getting a front end Starter with an elite K rate in this trade I’m not interested.

Matz would probably be out of the game if this was a normal non 18 run game lol

Would like to see him streched out to 110 pitches tonight. Whatever gets him into the 7th.

It’s amazing how 18 runs by your offence makes the 4ER given up through 5 innings seem like he’s pitching well doesn’t it?

Hope this carries over to the Rays, they will be the ultimate test

Rays moment in the Sun is over. The Jays are taking over this division for the next 5 years.

That's exactly what he would be moved for.

Yea those guys aren’t readily available and would take a lot more.

No desire to trade him. However, its better that Gurriel Jr is an asset flexibility wise. The way he started 21, his value decreased. No interest in say...Jose Ramirez? Not saying its doable but he might be part of what goes back.

Sure I would be but why would Cleveland do that? Ramirez is locked into 2 dirt cheap options after this year.

Yeah pitcher probably less worried about the odd home run or base hit with a lead like this just avoid walks and big inning, although agree with buck/tabby that pitcher has to pretend its 0-0, but that's hard to be as focused with this lead. Can't take away from Orioles hitting though, they've actually hit the ball well, better than Stankees
