Charlie is going to treat Hand like prime Mariano Rivera when it comes to high leverage spots, so I hope Hand looks better than he did tonight.

Do you guys normally freak out over 3-4 Ab's and 1 appearance?

He said the exact opposite today, but sure, go off.

Tbf, his appearance was a pretty low leverage situation.

Hand is behind Mayza, Borucki and Saucedo imo.

That didn't feel like a freakout...

Sure maybe too strong a word, maybe make wide reaching assumptions based on such a small sample size is a better way of saying it?

Not Saucedo I don't think. Hand has past pedigree and success that puts him ahead... Just cause.

I took it as mocking Charlie rather than Hand's performance tonight

Hand was going to come in if it stayed 3-2. The Jays (thankfully) scored 3 to make it 6-2. I think he's going to get the bulk of 8th inning appearances, if not save opportunities. I hope not, but I'd be surprised if that's not how it shakes out. Hopefully by then Walker will have fixed him.

He literally said the opposite though...
