Every RP on our current 25 man is better than Payamps, you're incorrect. Also who cares, we're getting better in that regard.

That would be a hilarious reason to DFA a guy. Can't say I disagree with it as a reason, but I did find his demotion/DFA to be surprising.

They would publicly. It would definitely be an issue for the Jays though if the government will only allow fully vaccinated athletes into the country. Payamps isn't good enough to be worth hamstringing yourself over that.

Only so much they can do. Some things can't be proven without a shadow of a doubt and Payamps is fringe enough that they can cite baseball reasons. Similar to holding players down to withhold super two status. MLBPA bitches about it but can't do anything at the end of the day because teams can play the baseball reasons card.

 

Either way, if they got rid of Payamps because he was an anti-vaxxer, that would be epic.

Other option would be the restricted list, I'd imagine "he wouldn't follow team protocol..."

MLB does not require players to be vaccinated, so trading someone on the basis of not being vaccinated could be argued as bad faith conduct. Something like that.

 

Not the same thing, but there are hospitals firing unionized staff who refuse to be vaccinated. How that shakes out TBD.

For f***s sake, you anti-anti-vaxxers are more annoying than anti-vaxxers! Shut the f*** up with it already. I have every vaccine because it's my choice to do so. If you protect yourself and your loved ones, then move along. Honestly, tired of seeing it everywhere and even conversations on a baseball message board spirals into "I have a massive dick because I took the vaccine". Stick to f***ing baseball.

 

I came on here to enjoy talk about the Jays and baseball. But if it's not one person throwing insults at another, it's people who rehash the same f***ing ********! NFL announced today that:

 

- if game cannot be rescheduled during the season due to COVID outbreak among unvaccinated players, team with outbreak will forfeit game; and

- if game is cancelled due to COVID outbreak, neither team will be paid for that game.

 

Seems like they don't give f*** about penalizing or outing unvaccinated players, so I doubt the Jays should care about dumping a below average reliver for his vaccination decisions.

 

 

Apparently Deandre Hopkins may retire because vaccines are bad mmmkay?
