The umpires for this series are Pat Hoberg, Chris Conroy, Ben May and Vic Carapazza. In other words, it should be a well-umped series.

Of the 90 umps that have called at least five games this season, all four guys in this series are in the top 30 for average accuracy on balls and strikes.

Average Accuracy:

Hoberg: 94.4% (#11)

Conroy: 94.0% (#14)

May: 93.9% (#21)

Carapazza: 93.8% (#27)

Hoberg is also the #1 most consistent umpire in the MLB, so hopefully he calls one of the three games.

Average Consistency:

Hoberg: 98.2% (#1)

May: 96.9% (#6)

Carapazza: 96.7% (#13)

Conroy: 96.3% (#29)

He is definitely an ******* but among the major "ump show" guys, he's the best umpire in terms of accuracy and consistency.

Out of the 90 umps, Carapazza ranks #27 in accuracy, while C.B. Bucknor ranks #67, Angel Hernandez ranks #73, Laz Dias comes in at #77 and Country Joe ranks #83.

Bucknor is also the 4th worst umpire in terms of consistency. Joe is 14th worst.

Carapazza is the 13th most consistent umpire.

So yeah, while he's a douchebag, he at least calls a better game than the other notorious umps.

If I was an ump, I would utilize the Altuve method of having my chest strapped up for balls and strike to be near 100% lol.

I understand your graph, bro. I just can't stand the man. Umpies that bark and do the stare downs etc, like all you addressed are umpshow jerks that think their part of the game can blow it out their ass, Iassonga is another, hate them type.

lol, here I was hoping Carapazza would be the odd man out when it came to manning home plate for this series and of course he's calling the first game.

"Why do the Jays need to get Nelson Cruz?"

Every time Grichuk comes back and you realize he's playing everyday, that's why.
