JFD Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 Great W Birds! Sweep there ass tomorrow Boys! Good chance with Ray on the bump
Virgil_Hiltz Verified Member Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 I've watched a lot of baseball in my life, and I don't think I've ever seen that happen before. Years ago when Ozzie Smith played for SD, he was diving for the ball and it hit second base and was looking like the ball was going to be going over him, remarkably he grabbed the ball with his throwing hand and threw the guy out .
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 Really hope we don’t burn Romano today with a 5 run lead. *Charlie Montoyo has entered the chat*
Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 Good thing the offense and starter spotted the bullpen a 5 run lead. Those clowns can't seem to go a single game without giving up runs and/or walks. Take the win though. Let's sweep them tomorrow
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 2 games up on the Yankees boyyyyyy
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 Big win, a sweep tomorrow would be Epic.
Bluebombers Verified Member Posted July 4, 2021 Posted July 4, 2021 Always a thrill beating the rays! They're next on the radar, passed the evil empire. IS stripling tough luck or what, has pitched so well for a while and deserving of a better record. Lack of run support early and shite bullpen doing him in, but , as long as the team wins..
max silver Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2021 Posted July 4, 2021 Wow that was a really fun game to watch today. As usual the umpiring was absolutely atrocious. MLB needs to implement regular eye checkups for these guys, because a good chunk of these clowns have the accuracy of Stevie Wonder. It's nice to see the Jays get a measure of Tampa Rays horse shoe up their ass kind of good luck. Stripling continues to roll along. I was pretty much ready to give up on him providing any kind of value to the Jays, but then he goes and implements full on mechanical changes in the middle of the season. And turns into the Jays best starter ever since. Sometimes I wonder if Pete Walker is some kind of a wizard with how frequently he's been able to resurrect MLB starting pitcher careers. He's had a lot of success stories recently. Robbie Ray is throwing harder than ever before and simultaneously displaying the best command of his career. Like how is that kind of turnaround even possible? He's turned Matz into a nice rotation piece as well, just needing to work on consistency at this point is all he has left. It's kind of too bad the club didn't take a shot at resigning Taijuan Walker, I think under the tutelage of Walker and with the clubs advanced training regimens that could have been a very fruitful matchup for both sides.
Bluebombers Verified Member Posted July 4, 2021 Posted July 4, 2021 Yes our rotation is looking good, 5 solid starters. Just would be great later on having merriweather and Romano locked and loaded in the pen, and a few good relievers with somebody to be a long man occasionally

Good thoughts but why do you hate paragraphs so much?
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2021 Posted July 4, 2021 Man, couple of great games to see. I thought they were both getting rained out. Vlad is by far, objectively speaking, the most likable guy in baseball. Just the little things like playfully f***ing with everyone at 1b and how he is in the dugout. Not to mention watching him demolish the ball every time, even if didn’t get the proper results. Such a joy to see in person Glad to see Wander in person if he ends up being something. Saw him quite a bit in BP and field practice, didn’t really put a show on by any means but he’s ripped as s***. Has Hulk triceps. Obviously Manoah in person was some sick s*** too. Good times!

Is this better? I always appreciate a good grammar check, those always really work to keep a guy honest and ensures that he gives 110% in all of his posts.

Vladdy has some of the most impressive on and off the field presence of anybody in MLB. He has a ton of swagger and he backs it up with the performance on the field. At the plate you can tell he just has this innate understanding of hitting that only comes around once in a generation. That leads to the elite plate discipline, and when you combine it with the top of the chart hit tool and raw power you are left with a very special player.

Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
