Adams goes back to the minors while Moreno stays there all season. Move Moreno to AAA and then call him up in September if anything

 

Reese is the tricky one since he's out of options and if we waive him now, he'll certainly get claimed. I'd try to keep him in the backup role for as long as possible by making Jansen/Kirk put some work in AAA before rejoining the big club again. Then it's a simple matter of survival of the fittest.

I can kind of understand the use of the relievers during garbage time today. Trying to gather some more info to see where they place in the pecking order behind the three guys who pitched in Miami without much risk to the game's outcome.

There was literally nothing wrong with Montoyo's management of the bullpen today. Guys need work.

 

In the three days prior to this game, the only relievers that threw were Chatwood, Mayza and Romano.

 

They have new pitchers on the team who they've barely had a chance to look at.

 

They used the opportunity a blowout game provides to do that.

His BABIP is north of .400 now so some serious regression is bound to happen average wise. He's also not hitting the ball very hard at all, or walking, and is striking out at a pretty high clip. Just have fun while it lasts.
