gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Is the plan with Hatch to be stretched out as a starter?
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Last 3 losses have all been by 1 run and the BP has taken all 3 Ls. I’m taking a break until Springer or some pitching help comes back. See you tomorrow night
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 The Blue Jays brass is wasting some amazing offensive performances by this team. What the heck are they waiting for? This team needs serious bullpen help and no one is coming to save them. Very few trades happen this time of year. You're assuming they COULD make a trade if they wanted to, which is questionable at best. As much as I'd like to see Pearson in the rotation, he might be more important in relief right now (at least until more arms come back). Also, if Charlie would quit overusing the pen and push the starters a little deeper, it would likely pull up the performance of the pen as well.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 f*** man you are the eternal optimist. Ya he is a piece of cake. No problemo. We got this! Jays are going to give me a stroke this year. This is not enjoyable lol. It isn't, Cole's good hittin' for our roster. We got this bud. lol
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Is the plan with Hatch to be stretched out as a starter? Yes. He's ready here now, so is Murphy.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Charllie's heated... we're in every game! Manager's heated at no help. Can't blame him.
Anybody but Charlie Verified Member Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 I miss old-school baseball. Now thanks the stupid analytics, managers like Charlie are scared shitless when one of our starters is close to pitching into the seventh. Can't happen! Must use reliable bullpen! He's turned our entire rotation into a bunch of beta throwers. Oh he's worried about injury? What's he saving them for? You're not going to be in a wildcard hunt if you continue to dig deep into your terrible bullpen. Give your starters a little bit more leeway.

But I prefer him over you. Give this clown the boot.
ShowtimeBelli Verified Member Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Bring up this guy Bryan Baker. He seems to be doing very well in AAA

WryNGinger Verified Member Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Charlie putting on the heat to make some trades. With the incredible depth the Jays have with their MiLB depth it is odd they haven't dealt some mid-range prospects for relief help. Their are some teams with decent relievers that are functionally out of the post-season chase that have some talent they should be willing to move for a reasonable price. What T F are the Jays waiting for?

It's like he has no gut feeling for the game being played on the field. I really don't see why the front office and the media think so highly of this guy. But I guess maybe the players really take to him or something, I dunno... I've lost all confidence in the guy.

gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Kevin Smith is working his way into a possible trade chip for relief help.
wilko Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 I think I know why the Jays are getting hurt all the time..
