f*** off, they smashed them just got unlucky

Unlucky? They completely crumbled in the late innings... Chatwood came in and walked 3 straight, Edwards serving up the meatball, Semien getting picked off for a crucial late game out, Bichette not able to make a routine throw in the 9th, Jays unable to add insurance runs with runners on 3rd and less than 2 outs... I could keep on going. It was ugly baseball

Absolutely crushing loss... F U Charlie... Bichette and Semien, pull your heads out of your ass, Dammit!

If Romano wasn't available tonight, it will eliminate some of my fury right now.

I hear ya but you know what they say, good teams find ways to win games and bad teams find ways to lose games. Boston relievers pitched out of tight situations while Jays relievers crumbled, Boston ran the bases well while Jays made some crucial late game brain farts, Bo making perhaps a game losing error on an easy ground out ETC. So while it seemed like Jays were well positioned to win, they simply couldn't play fundamental ball when it mattered.

Definitely a lot of blame to go around for the performance last night.

I mentioned the two gaffes right after the game above, the injury/not available of Romano calmed me down a bit, but Chuckles pulling Strip with a 4 run lead and at 78 pitches through 5 and 2/3 was egregious and our pen especially Chatwood sucked balls aside from Mayza, it's depleted, they need to make moves. Charlie handed the Bosox this game, as for the luck factor, did you not see TL's post? It was gifted.

If you needed further proof of how bad the Blue Jays got robbed today:

Oooooooof.

There's a lot more to baseball than the number of hits. Blaming the park is ignorant cause some of those hits off the wall would have been routine fly balls in other parks... It goes both ways.

You could tell the Jays were playing scared tho, giving gift after gift to Boston while their momentum continued to grow. Jays really need a vet on the team to lead the way. Maybe it'll be Springer when he gets on the field. I don't know much about him personality wise tho.

You're contradicting yourself here? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I can’t really blame Charlie. I probably would have given Stripling another hitter with his pitch count and effectiveness. His pen is a f***ing disaster. We scored 5 which should be enough but our RISP hitting was atrocious. We could have buried them. Biggio K with runner on 3B and 1 out was critical. One could go on. Ya the park sucks and affects outcomes. But it sucks for both teams. I don’t really see how it helps us to focus on. It’s not going to change.

4 for 15 isn't bad, but I hear ya on the chances, brutal loss.

Vlad hit our only HR. That ball would have been out in most football stadiums/airports.

He's been slapping at so many pitches too, lost Stripling a bunch of potential strikes. Can't wait for Gruber to tell me that Danny Jansen can't frame the low pitch because he doesn't have a closed stance.

I'll tell you again, Danny Jansen can't frame low fastballs well. What does this have to do with McGuire looking like s***? I was comparing low fastball framing to Adams.

f*** that was a tough loss, likely the most demoralizing loss of the season. While some of this loss was bad luck the team just isn't playing well fundamentally in this latest rough patch. Whether it's failing to cash in runners from third with less than two outs, or defensive miscues at inopportune times, runners getting picked off, or bullpen meltdowns there are just so many things going wrong right now. There is so little margin for error that bad decisions by the manager just amplify the chance of potential victories slipping away. I don't know what Chatwood did to so quickly regain Charlie's trust, but bringing him in with several runners on base was just asking for trouble. He should be relegated to the bottom rung of the bullpen totem pole until he can consistently throw strikes again, it's folly to keep running him out there in high leverage situations with runners on base when he's constantly battling his command and completely unable to hit the strike zone. Was bringing in Chatwood really any more likely to get the final out of an inning than Stripling at the point where Stripling was pulled? This now makes it 4 complete meltdowns in his last 7 outings, when will our moron manager finally get it through his thick skull that Chatwood can't be trusted when the game is on the line?

Was Teo’s single off the wall a homerun in most parks?

Nah, the second one, right? That's gone in most parks.

I just remember him hitting a screamer of the top half of the wall and only ended up with a single. Thought maybe that would be gone in most parks except some like Houston/Cleveland

Gone man, frozen rope 106.2 MPH at 20 degree LA... gone!

Yup just some awesome luck last night

It's a garbage stadium unsuitable for T-Ball, it should be torn down and replaced 50 years ago.
