Canada is so weird. I live in a city that gets more snow (on average) than yours and it was a record breaking 20 C here for the last 3 days.

Canada is big.

Yes, the weather can be quite variable across the land. Not sure what is weird about it.

We were discussing two areas with a similar climate. My city, which had the most snow North America last year, set record high temperatures for 3 days in a row. Many places in Saskatchewan just shattered all time records for snowfall in November. The difference in temperature was well in excess of 30 Celsius.

It's not a stretch to say that this was unusual and could very well be the most extreme difference in recorded history.

OK but you said "Canada is weird."

It's not unusual to see those temperature extremes these days anywhere in the world. Not sure how the situation you describe makes Canada "weird".

Also "... most extreme difference in recorded history." Geez.

If you didn't know that weird and unusual were synonyms then you learned your fact for the day.

Breaking records is unusual. That's why they are records in the first place. Two relatively close regions setting records in the opposite direction is even more unusual.

If one area is setting record highs and another is close to record lows, it stands to reason that the temperature difference is probably one of the largest in recorded history. How can you not understand this?

Too easy, but I'll stop tearing you up. Have a great day.
