Ex Player Verified Member Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 Can we all try to get along please????
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 lol, you are either just trolling or really, really dumb. Anyway you cut that, its similar numbers
goldbug103 Verified Member Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 Difference is that Biggio provides some defensive and base running value. Fatty provides neither of these and can’t hit either. He’s pretty much a hindrance to the team and himself. He needs to fix his mechanical issues, flatten his swing path, whatever it takes or get the f*** out. Minor league games might help rebuild his confidence.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 Stop trolling, retard. Don't use that word
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 Anyway you cut that, its similar numbers No again, defense is a big part of baseball, Vlad has been worse, he has negative war right now.

JFD Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 Anyway you cut that, its similar numbers Go to fangraphs and sort by any WAR stat. Vlad aint even on the first page lol
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 No again, defense is a big part of baseball, Vlad has been worse, he has negative war right now. nope. I was discussing his offensive numbers which are very similar to Biggio. You all just want to troll and cry lol
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 Go to fangraphs and sort by any WAR stat. Vlad aint even on the first page lol Why, im not discussing defense
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 Why, im not discussing defense Offence = -1.4
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 Off = -1.4 Whats that got to do with AVG, R, HR, RBIs and OPS being similar to Biggio?
Olerud363 Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 lol... Biggio - wRC+ 120, fWAR 1.2 VGJ - wRC+ 100, fWAR -0.1 Biggio is also a guy who supposedly had no talent. He was a contact hitter his first year and hit 0 home runs in a-ball. Then he remade himself, taking more pitches and swinging for hard contact at the cost of a mediocre season and a huge number of strikeouts in a+. He stuck with the approach though and here he is. It feels like every at bat Biggio takes a bunch of close pitches. He works hard. Looks in dynamite shape. Plays 4 positions. Is 20-0 as a base stealer. A lot of great things about Biggio, even if he had the same OPS as Vlad (which he doesn't)

He'd have to out-OPS Biggio by like 100 points to reach the same value.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2020 Author Posted September 20, 2020 nope. I was discussing his offensive numbers which are very similar to Biggio. You all just want to troll and cry lol He has played every game this year and just got hit in the shoulder/head/face He is playing just as good as Biggio That's what we're talking about, give your head a shake, their offensive numbers aren't close either, who's trolling?
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 nope. I was discussing his offensive numbers which are very similar to Biggio. You all just want to troll and cry lol You cannot dismiss a large part of the sport to fit your narrative, it doesnt work that way.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 Why, im not discussing defense Biggio has better numbers too..lol. Again you cannot hand wave away other aspects of the sport.
