BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 He always had some FB command issues, but not like this. I feel like Nate has 1st inning syndrome and tends to settle down.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 It figures our would be ace with an 80 fastball can't locate any of his pitches and has take off a ton of velocity, totally unlike his minor league performance. Just like our generational hitting talent crushes balls into the ground. We really can't catch a break.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 Why the f*** does Pearson get so rattled, guy might need a sports shrink.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 What on earth does Walker have to do with it? Ummm he's the pitching coach, if you don't know? He's the main guy working with Pearson between starts and Pearson had a history of great command and movement with his FB in the minors soooo.......
5minutesforframing Verified Member Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 Pearson's fragile minded.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 well at least the ump helped us out with our 3rd out.

History of great command, lol.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 Is it possible Nate isn’t fully healthy because what we have seen and what the scouting reports have said are completely different things. He’s clearly not ready but I just can’tt believe they can be that wrong. Could be completely mechanical.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 Pearson started throwing better fastballs but then they switched to a lot of sliders
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 Pearson's fragile minded. speaking of fragile minded.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 Pearson started throwing better fastballs but then they switched to a lot of sliders You'd think he was having trouble locating his fastball.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 Pearson started throwing better fastballs but then they switched to a lot of sliders What better fastballs? He hit his spot with one of them the entire inning.

Or he hasn't pitched to live hitters for 3 months and needs to go through his Spring training 2.0 like Ryu had to lol

Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 What better fastballs? He hit his spot with one of them the entire inning. He thew a good one to ruiz and Nunez. But only threw 3 after the HR. Thats my point
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 He’s clearly not ready but I just can’tt believe they can be that wrong. Could be completely mechanical. Could be mechanical in the sense he is tipping his pitches. The hitters seem to know what's coming.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 This doesn't compute... no injury, bud. If you think about it it will
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 His change up misses high every time he throws it lol. Its a useless pitch for him.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 He will have no command of his slider and than throw a couple disgusting ones.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 If you think about it it will What does this even mean?? I'm out of here... stupidity seems to grow.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Nate looking great this inning so far, regardless of that hit.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Angel Hernandez strikes again.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 the 2 curve and FB were great and that last one was a decent location too.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 He’s predictable for one. Throw another fastball. Everyone watching knew a breaking ball was coming after the high fastball. That’s on Jansen as well tho.
