He always had some FB command issues, but not like this. I feel like Nate has 1st inning syndrome and tends to settle down.

It figures our would be ace with an 80 fastball can't locate any of his pitches and has take off a ton of velocity, totally unlike his minor league performance. Just like our generational hitting talent crushes balls into the ground. We really can't catch a break.

What on earth does Walker have to do with it?

Ummm he's the pitching coach, if you don't know? He's the main guy working with Pearson between starts and Pearson had a history of great command and movement with his FB in the minors soooo.......

Is it possible Nate isn’t fully healthy because what we have seen and what the scouting reports have said are completely different things.

He’s clearly not ready but I just can’tt believe they can be that wrong. Could be completely mechanical.

Pearson started throwing better fastballs but then

they switched to a lot of sliders

What better fastballs? He hit his spot with one of them the entire inning.

Or he hasn't pitched to live hitters for 3 months and needs to go through his Spring training 2.0 like Ryu had to lol

Could be mechanical in the sense he is tipping his pitches. The hitters seem to know what's coming.

His change up misses high every time he throws it lol. Its a useless pitch for him.

He will have no command of his slider and than throw a couple disgusting ones.

He’s predictable for one. Throw another fastball. Everyone watching knew a breaking ball was coming after the high fastball. That’s on Jansen as well tho.
