The only thing I’m annoyed with is how we gave all this money for mediocre pitching money after overpaying for Ryu who is atleast good. But with the Pandemic will they now be unable to spend as freely to upgrade where needed or is spending going to be down now as a result. Roark’s contract was bad the moment pen met paper but he was atleast suppose to be a serviceable innings eater. No idea how he got 12 million in a second year that wasn’t an option.

We have tons of payroll flexibility. 53 mil committed next year...2022 is 35 committed. My issue is Roark blocks young players next year. I'd be fine if they used him as a swing guy next year, but will they. They should sign the best starter they can with Ryu, free agent and Pearson at the front and Thornton, Kay, Borucki, Hatch filling in the final 2. 12 mil is an expensive swing man and they probably start him in the rotation next year.
