Team A crushes team B. Not even El Capitan can save that one.

BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2020 Posted July 7, 2020 Probably. But if Nate Pearson goes HAM I think there’s a chance to keep things close. Ryu pitches to contact and team A has some holes defensively. Team A also has a lot strikeout friendly batters in that lineup. Team B doesn’t strikeout with Martin & Kirk, and some real power with Groshans and Tellez behind. They also have speed with Wall, Davis, Martin, Alford. It’s a bit top heavy, but their outfield defense is also much more solid. The second team wouldn't even beat the Orioles! Anybody has a chance against the Orioles.

King Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2020 Author Posted July 7, 2020 Team B has exactly one MLB calibre hitter in Kirk. McKinney and Tellez are league average MLB hitters.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2020 Posted July 7, 2020 I can buy Tellez as a league average MLB hitter, but no way on McKinney. Tellez at least has some friendly statcast numbers. McKinney does nothing well.

wilko Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2020 Posted July 8, 2020 He may have no interest in coming to Toronto. Or...they may have no interest in having another hot head latino on the roster just yet. I think he'd love to play in Toronto and would fit right in.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2020 Posted July 8, 2020 McKinney got babiped in 2019. If not he's league average hitter or damn close.
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2020 Posted July 8, 2020 Hopefully we get at least highlights.
