Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 Why is it so hard for some of our players to understand that on 2 strikes you swing at anything close to the strike zone ffs. I'd rather they remain selective, if the umps are wrong, that's on them, but expanding with 2 strikes doesn't seem like a good long-term move.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 Man I wish we traded Giles before Montoyo let him throw 3 days in a row. Might as well rest him the rest of the year and hope he's healthy for 2020.
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 "expanding", that 3rd. strike was in the middle of the plate. I prefer they go down swinging.
LGBJ29 Verified Member Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 Yeah maybe Giles insists he feels fine, but otherwise throw him on the IL. Charlie just flat out doesn't understand over-usage. Like throwing Law for 2.0 Innings on Monday and throwing him right back out last night.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 A series win in the Trop is rare.
Ex Player Verified Member Posted August 7, 2019 Author Posted August 7, 2019 I wouldn’t get your hopes up on actually winning a series against TB...especially on the road You sure??
Ex Player Verified Member Posted August 7, 2019 Author Posted August 7, 2019 Just got home and saw the final out by Giles. 2 out of 3 in TB, I'm impressed!! If we can take 2 of 3 against the Yanks I'll be even more impressed. A sweep and I'll completely freak out

Ex Player Verified Member Posted August 7, 2019 Author Posted August 7, 2019 Same here. I can’t believe they won a series in TB. I think the Yankees series is 4 games Right you are. 3 wins would be incredible. A sweep is out of this world. Lets just hope for 3 out of 4
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 The curse is lifted. Sogard was the sacrifice.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 The Jays may never lose again.

Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2019 Posted August 8, 2019 It's amusing that the haters have given up on Fisher 2 seasons after being a Top 100 prospect yet are vomiting from anger over losing Sanchez who's been a f***ing dumpster fire for 3 seasons. Fisher has never done anything at MLB level. The last time Sanchez was injury free all year he won the ERA title.
