Non tendering is for players with more than 6 years of service time. Young players are under the team collective bargaining agreement less than 3 years service is pre -arbitration after 3 year the player is arbitration eligible after the 6 year free agency.

or you could just explain what he doesn't understand. You could have just said in his arbitration years you tender an offer and you either agree on a contract or go to salary arbitration which is binding. You non-tender a player in his arbitration years when you feel a player will make more in arbitration than what you are willing to spend, so you non-tender the player and he becomes a free agent.

Sometimes empathy and enlightenment is more rewarding than being an insufferable prick. You do have a vast baseball knowledge, I will give you that, but you don't use it for greater good!

Did you read EastCoaster's posts? f***er came in with some serious attitude, and when I corrected him he doubled down on both his wrongness and his ****yness, so f*** him in the ear.

and you wonder why the bluejaysmessageboard community won't grow. A guy makes a mistake and it's profanity laced tirades...lol. Even Spanky had restraint to just explain that he was wrong. It was a baseball terminology with a clear definition. For the record, you even made an error when you said a team can non-tender a player after the arbitration, which was incorrect. You can dfa the player, but you're on the hook for the salary the arbitrator awarded the player. We all make mistakes from time to time.

If you come in full of piss and vinegar then you're going to be met with stiff pushback.

There's a difference between owning a mistake and being a prick when you're wrong.

You need to look at the posts that he put up and then try to tell me he deserved empathy.

I've always been nice to people unless they give me a reason not to be.

Great fking trade eh. No hitter and the guy you got back can't even catch a pop up.

You know you find a real gem of a baseball player when he's able to catch balls off his face. Great job!

Meh. Sanchez would've gone 4 innings and given up 6 hits, 4 runs, with 3 walks and 3 strikeouts here.

In his previous 2 starts with the jays he went 10.2 innings with 16Ks 0 walks and no homers given up.

The previous 3 years he's sucked donkey balls.

Going from Pete Walker to practically anyone else was going to end up being good for Sanchez. The fact that he went to the pitching factory known as the Astros is just icing on the cake for him.

ah just blisters..lol. He actually used his fastball a lot less the last couple starts. Seems like it might be working for him. He could use an extra couple mph on the fastball velocity, though.

by the way...what did Boxy do to get banned. I thought he was the chosen one.

Sanchez had been terrible for 3 seasons now. That's a large enough sample size. Whatever happens now... Who cares. That chapter is closed and it's time to move forward. 1 start is hardly enough of a sample to be cocky with the 'I knew we shouldn't have traded Sanchez' talk.

this is correct.... BUT if Sanchez flourishes with the Astros the remainder if this season and into next year (and maybe beyond) and at the same time Derek Fisher continues to prove to be the AAAA player he is currently profiling as - THEN WHAT ! Bottom line right now (from not just this trade but the overall body of work since early 2016) is it is hard to credibly defend Atkins as being anything more than a generic corporate stooge with no real abilities.

MLB needs to start an investigation, asap

no doubt - the Jays are clearly throwing it all away -:D:mad::confused:

ETA: if we just kept Tulo. Martin and AA, just imagine where we would be now (you can sure bet they would be fighting for a postseason berth) !!!
