Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 If that's the case than so be it, you basically said punt him him into the sun initially. Ideally he needs to be away from Montoyo. The front office should be making the lineups for him at this point anyway.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 Wew lad, this analysis by Buck and Pat.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 I’m sure Galvis would like to move on as well. He can be a backup infielder for a contending club not one trying to finish as low in the standings as possible. He signed with the Blue Jays to be a starting shortstop this season and that’s the only reason. They won’t hold his hostage because of a team option. If they can get any extra value out of that option at all you’re a pig in s*** happy but otherwise an intriguing lottery ticket would be a nice return. Bring up Urena to backup the infield. That's a fair take. Galvis seems like the type of guy who wants and expects to start....he always has and frankly he's good enough to start at the ML level. That's unfortunate for the Jays, as apparently he's a great leader and he would be an amazing utility infielder to help mentor Biggio, Bo & Vlad.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 Hes been god awful in his Blue Jays career outside of a few hot homerun months to end his season last year. And those hot two months fetched him $57M and the worst part is.. 5 f***ing years
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 Man - I still remember when Bubba Starling was drafted 5th overall. It was probably the wicked name, but the draft show made it sound like he was going to be awesome. I followed him for a couple of years before it was apparent he sucked at baseball.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 Teoscar has been really good offensively since coming up from the minors in June.

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 There you go Randal! Prove the haters wrong!
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 Hopefully that HR will get Grichuk to a .700 OPS and his WAR to replacement level.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 Bo looking like he belongs early on. 104 mph off balance on his third good AB of the game.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 Bo looking like he belongs early on. 104 mph off balance on his third good AB of the game. Yup, he looks fine. Competitive AB's in all three PA's.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 Get Vladdy fitted for a first baseman's trapper.
Barkerfan23 Verified Member Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 Thing is now he is going to take this to the plate with him
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 Enough of vladdy playing third Why? These plays with Donaldson at 3rd may have ended up the same. Hard hit short hops are tough to judge and Vlad hasnt had enough reps at 3B or any infield position to be able to be in a better position glove and feet to make the play having a better chance to succeed...at the minor league level let alone the Majors. It's something he needs to experience and see first hand and adjust and get better. That's what this whole year is about
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2019 Author Posted July 30, 2019 Hitting him hard, just no luck.
jaysguy44 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 Enough of vladdy playing third Lol why? He's still raw, we might as well keep him there for now. It's not like we are competing for anything other than a bottom 3 finish. In the off-season look at a switch to 1B if anything, not mid-season.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 Good play by Vlad again
Barkerfan23 Verified Member Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 Cant belive that was given a hit
