Ex Player Verified Member Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 Its not anything, we need value. We have enough fillers and Mckinney type. He provides more value as a short term piece in Toronto They should be able to get a good middle-reliever for him
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 That was a one hop smash by vlad by the way, nearing 110 mph
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 110 mph single from Vlad

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2019 Author Posted July 20, 2019 Jansen just missed two dingers foul tonight, there's a nice rip.
Ex Player Verified Member Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 I dont think so. Contending teams dont trade middle relievers The problem is he becomes a free agent next year. And does he want to stay in Toronto?? If he doesn't, then it's better to offload him now

If he doesn't, then it's better to offload him now I dont think he is going to land much of a deal just like he has no trade value. He reminds me a lot of Marco Scutaro in the sense that he is an afterthought to anyone but who has him
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 This is what was needed from Marcus. Next inning may be his last as a Jay.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 Wonder how long they will let Stroman go. Obviously his pitch count is low but you want to make sure he stays healthy ahead of the deadline and playing in that humidity takes a toll on the body. i'd let him keep going, pitch count willing.
jaysguy44 Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 Hoping some of those scouts have there eyes on Sogard/Galvis. I also hope they went for a piss break when Sogard committed that error.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 is stroman f***ing with scouts lol, never seen him throw side arm like that
glory Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 Hopefully this is Stro's last inning.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 That was a REALLY nice play from Vladdy.
Barkerfan23 Verified Member Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 Hopefully this is Stro's last inning. Nah bro Buntoyo gonna let him pitch till he has to be removed for pec issues
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 I know it's 12-0, but GO f*** YOURSELF UMP.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 Wish Aaron Boone was in the Jays dugout tonight.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2019 Author Posted July 20, 2019 Great start by Stro tonight.
wk680 Verified Member Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 (edited) I'm going to miss Stroman. Absolutely. He is our only good established starter and only 28 yo. I wish they could sign him to a mutually agreeable extension (5/$80M still seems reasonable to me but I suspect he expects more). Either way, it feels like Shatkins has little room for error on this one. ETA: interesting game tonight with Jays scoring 12 runs but with only 3 XBH (and only one of those being a HR). Just goes to show you what an unpredictable sport it is. I seem to recall the Jays having only 4 hits total but 3 runs on all solo HRs in one of the games in the recent Red Sox series. Sogard is 33 and having a career year, there's no guarantee he'll have a similar year next season. I think trading him is best option, assuming a contender even wants him
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
