jmomcc Verified Member Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 Wow, that’s a well run draft class. Obviously, we have to wait a long time to grade the draft but signing everyone shows a level of management that I like.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Jays have an extra $176,465 that they can tack on to the $125K cap for any of the remaining unsigned players. So either they can spread that out over a couple of guys, or give one last guy $301,465 so sign.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2019 Author Posted July 9, 2019 Sorry about the long time between edits. Was busy getting engaged and then attending my brother's wedding. I've just updated the main post with all of the signings, as well as every single signing bonus (including rounds 11-40). The Jays signed 29 of their 40 draft picks and also nabbed at least three reported undrafted free agents. They have $178,965 left over if they want to try and find something to do with it by the signing deadline on July 12 at 5 PM ET. The most they can sign someone for now is $303,965, before they'd have to start paying penalties.
Todd Verified Member Posted July 9, 2019 Posted July 9, 2019 Blue jays have signed other draft pick from Quebec. Masson outfielder, and 16.

P2F Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2019 Posted July 9, 2019 Garcia and Ponce, maybe? Two pitchers... Ponce has already signed a contract with the Jays:
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2019 Posted July 10, 2019 So...I'm not sure if this is common, as I can't say I've ever really noticed before, but 2 players from the draft have not been assigned to the DSL. 10th rounder Glenn Santiago is playing there, and now JC Masson is being sent there.
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2019 Posted July 12, 2019 Reported several days ago. Posting again cause it's good.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2019 Posted July 12, 2019 Damn, I was hoping for something new. Me too. I feel I've been deceived again. A lot of that going around today.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 Masson got just under $300K. That leaves a few thousand left then. I guess no one left is signing unless they agree to the $125k slot.
metafour Verified Member Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 That leaves a few thousand left then. I guess no one left is signing unless they agree to the $125k slot. The deadline passed. We obviously weren't going to sign anyone left for a few thousand over $125K lol.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 july 15 Wrong, it's passed as of July 12 at 5 p.m. ET

Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted July 18, 2019 Posted July 18, 2019 Jays sign undrafted FA Justin Ammons.
