I had never even heard of Louis CK until he was accused of jacking off in front of some chicks... I think Eddie Murphy, Chris Rock, could also be interchangeable with some of those..

Really? Louis CK is a comic genius.

Yeah Eddie Murphy and Chris Rock are great.... comedic legends no doubt.

i mean, he was one of the biggest stand-up comedians in the world for almost a decade before that happened. He's really gone downhill since then 'cause he's trying to be all edgy to prove that what he did wasn't so bad, but he used to be f***ing fantastic.

Do you live under a rock?

Eddie murphy's early stuff = fantastic. Raw and delirious are two of the best stand up specials of all time.

"the ice cream man is coming"

s*** forgot cf.

It's harder to watch them now and laugh like I did earlier in life, some of the material is just very 80s centric.

Almost like how Star Wars was groundbreaking and absolute mind blowing when it came out. But watching it now..... still great, but not quite the same experience

Do you live under a rock? Russel Peters was the 3rd highest grossing comedian a few years ago. Higher than CK. He is VERY popular world wide, not just North America.. He is also very funny and makes fun of everyone, which is cool.

You got the last part about Eddie right!

Norm has always been one of my faves. I own Dirty Work and consider it one of the masterpieces of the comedy genre.

I adore this movie so much.

You know that when I asked if you lived under a rock because you didn't know who Louis CK was, it wasn't anything at all to do with Russell Peters, right? And I mean, Dane Cook was one of the highest grossing comedians at one point, as was/is that puppet ******* whose name I'm going to hope I never remember... That doesn't mean they're good or relevant. Louis CK was a big f***ing deal in comedy for a LONG time, and even though he may not have brought in numbers as high as Russell Peters, he was more famous.

Oh god that's such a good movie. I've seen it dozens of times and that clip still made me laugh.

It's just a classic example of Norm's humour. The clip has like 5+ layers of comedy going on at the same time

Big ups to Bob Saget, too, for directing.

That is a f***ing awesome top 5.

I would throw Mitch Hedberg (my absolute favourite) Emo Phillips, and maybe Iliza Shlesinger onto that list, but those are all top-f***ing-notch.

Great lists for sure but don't forget about Bill Hicks. Sure some of his material is dated now, but he was vicious and absolutely fearless on stage. Died too young from pancreatic cancer back in the early 90s. One of his last appearances before his death was a slot on Letterman that was banned, and eventually aired like 15 years later in tribute.

Y'know, I have really liked everything I've seen of his... You're right, very dated (like the early Eddie Murphy stuff), but sharp as a f***in' tack. I should check out more of is stuff. Same deal with Hedberg, died way too young with so much promise.
