Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2019 Posted April 12, 2019 Galvis was cooked either way. If he had any doubt about whether it was caught or not might as well go back to first.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2019 Posted April 12, 2019 His xFIP is almost 5 Grant please...you're going off 2 games....he's still a ground out machine. He's not finishing the season with a ground ball rate of 41%. His FIP is 2.74. Sanchez doesn't give up a ton of homers. He's getting the most swing and misses of his career. I'm not sure what you want out of the guy. He's never going to have pinpoint command.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2019 Posted April 12, 2019 Jays about to sweep the Red Sox on Opening Day weekend and Rowdy Tellez just broke Ted Williams' 70 year old record lmao
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2019 Posted April 12, 2019 Schulman and Buck don't realize that it hit the upper deck and bounced to where it finally landed
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2019 Posted April 12, 2019 They are crushing the ball off Sanchez. Look at the Statcast, everything is being hit hard.

He's never going to have pinpoint command. 3 games. I think he's an injury-prone back end starter who will give you an ERA in the 4-4.5 range when he's healthy. I'd still like to see what he'd do in the bullpen.

If that's what he is he'd have to be a pretty damn good reliever to make the switch worth it. Unless your rotation is just stacked.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2019 Posted April 12, 2019 Time to take Sanchez out but Montoyo seems more old school than Gibby, so he'll probably keep him in until he gives up the lead in order to be in line for the win if he escapes with the lead in tact.

Trade Giles at the deadline and move Sanchez to the closer role in August, assuming he's not holding up as a SP. Relievers have more trade value than SP's nowadays anyway.

Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2019 Posted April 12, 2019 Is Sanchez physically capable of going more than 5 innings?
Corporal Valdal Verified Member Posted April 12, 2019 Author Posted April 12, 2019 Is Sanchez physically capable of going more than 5 innings? No he is a elite reliver and should of stuck at that
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2019 Posted April 12, 2019 Booted ball in the OF and a struggling starter being left in too long throwing wild pitches makes for a hard watch. Come on guys.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2019 Posted April 12, 2019 Holy f*** what a bailout. Chubby boy wasn't even close.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2019 Posted April 12, 2019 Grichuk's throw helping make up for the booted ball earlier.
