Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 Look, the shift worked to perfection. This won't be brought up again, but boy just wait until a hitter gets a random roller off the end of their bat that finds a hole where a "traditional" defender would have been.
tbad Verified Member Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 So there's been like 3 near no-hitters against the blue jays in the first week and a half... that's gotta be some kind of record, this offense is amazingly bad
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 Man I thought that ball was ten rows deep.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 Wow man shut us rough to watch.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 Talk about frustration levels hitting new highs.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 2 oppo hits already for Cleveland...wonder if our coaches ever stress this to our hitters lmao
tbad Verified Member Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 This is going to be a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong season
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 2 oppo hits already for Cleveland...wonder if our coaches ever stress this to our hitters lmao Our hitting problems this season have not been an inability to go to the opposite field.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2019 Author Posted April 7, 2019 Lmfao guys I think today might be the day that no hitter happens
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 Our hitting problems this season have not been an inability to go to the opposite field. Hasn't helped though
xposbrad Verified Member Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 I thought if we were playing all these young guys that we would get some breakout candidates but so far everyone sucks. I also thought accumulating everyone's 30th best prospect in trades was going to work.
King Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 Angels are wasting Trouts career lol. Pathetic lineup
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 Lmfao guys I think today might be the day that no hitter happens And Sale on Tuesday
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 Angels are wasting Trouts career lol. Pathetic lineup Nice of the Angels to ensure the GOAT never sniffs the playoffs again.
tbad Verified Member Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 Angels are wasting Trouts career lol. Pathetic lineup Do they not have a farm system? Honestly never seen them bring up anybody...
King Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 I thought if we were playing all these young guys that we would get some breakout candidates but so far everyone sucks. I also thought accumulating everyone's 30th best prospect in trades was going to work. It would be a good time to bump the "Let the kids play" discussion from spring training. It turns out that watching young guys drowning at the major league level is in fact, not enjoyable to watch.
el duque Verified Member Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 2 oppo hits already for Cleveland...wonder if our coaches ever stress this to our hitters lmao From my TV what I've seen is that the always swing big, like guessing, sometimes work but most of the time is a K
Praxis Verified Member Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 (edited) I am trying, genuinely trying, to stay positive and I understand completely what Shapiro and Atkins are trying to do, but you have to give the fans some reason to watch the team. At the moment they are practically fielding a AAA lineup and an underperforming one at that. Edited April 7, 2019 by Praxis
Corporal Valdal Verified Member Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 I am curious here. Is there approach at the plate there own doing, or the fault of the hitting coach? I have always wondered stuff like that
el duque Verified Member Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 Best they can say about Montoyo is that he is playing everybody, I want Montoyo to be a magician, he will need the supernatural to win games with this team
el duque Verified Member Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 Brito is a good example of the guessing style of hitting, he swings where he wants it but it is hard to make contact
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2019 Author Posted April 7, 2019 Thank god for Galvis, inc 3 k's im thinking though
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 Galvis is a surprising bright point.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 Surprised Luis Rivera didn't send Brito there, dude was flying around the bases.
Corporal Valdal Verified Member Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 Boy Grichuk is to much in his own head right now! He needs to calm down a little bit and see the ball better
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 Keep staring at the board Randal, the ball was still 8 inches outside.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
