Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 where are the jays in the overall standings?
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Much better hitting line up today.. I hope.. I know, that was my first thought too. You put in Vlad to replace Gurriel and slide Durry to 2nd base and the lineup actually looks half decent.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 where are the jays in the overall standings? They are currently one spot better than the red sox. A game up on the sweaty sox.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Lol at Galvis leading off. He and his career .291 OBP. Good Christ, Charlie.
Corporal Valdal Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Author Posted April 6, 2019 Lol at Galvis leading off. He and his career .291 OBP. Good Christ, Charlie. Did he do anything in spring training at all? You cant keep running out different line ups every day you need some consistency
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Did he do anything in spring training at all? You cant keep running out different line ups every day you need some consistency why?
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 where are the jays in the overall standings? They would be picking 7th overall in the 2020 draft (barring comp picks, etc).
Stoneyen Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Lol at Galvis leading off. He and his career .291 OBP. Good Christ, Charlie. I mean I guess its not great, but Galvis has had, by far, the best ABs so far this year. I'll take it over putting f***ing Brito in the 1 or 2 spot.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Lol at Galvis leading off. He and his career .291 OBP. Good Christ, Charlie. TO be fair, he is having the best PAs in the lineup right now by far. I think the slappy contact hitter is going to become en vogue again here shortly with the high fastball/curveball meta of pitching these days. Everything is a cycle and we'll probably start to to back to watching boring slap singles for a few years again. Not looking forward to it.
el duque Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Galvis the only Jay seeing the ball so far
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Considering Bauer's command issues and cold weather on Thursday, this could be a much worse game for the Blue Jays' hitters.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Jesus Smoak you could have easily had 3.
el duque Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Grichuk our clean up hitter, I would have not predicted that last year
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Jesus Smoak you could have easily had 3. Of all the things to complain about, Smoak not getting himself thrown out at 3rd base with two outs isn't one of them.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 That was not an easy play for Galvis but he made it look like one, great job.
Corporal Valdal Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Author Posted April 6, 2019 Cant believe we got Pannone for Joe freaking Smith
el duque Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Gurriel should have a haircut to help with the hitting
Corporal Valdal Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Author Posted April 6, 2019 Drury looks like he has no game plan when he comes up to the plate right now
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Carrasco at 35 pitches, must have been some decent at bats so far
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 It's not 95 but Pannone is throwing a lot harder this season than what we saw last year. Consistently hitting 90-91 and occasionally ramping it up to 92. He's looked very stable early on.
Barkerfan23 Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Cant believe we got Pannone for Joe freaking Smith Well the Indians needed a reliever And Shapiro did what he could to help.
KevinGregg Verified Member Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 and a terrific curve ball The change looks nice as well.

It'll be interesting to see what happens once Clay and Borucki are ready.
