However, I got to ask.. What is your record in GDTs?
Corporal Valdal Verified Member Posted April 5, 2019 Author Posted April 5, 2019 Brito leading off? Yeah, I have no idea anymore tbh! Every day is a different line up with this guy
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 Brito leading off? Fast black guy... Of course he should... Slap that ball, get on base, steal a base, go 2nd to home on a single.. Make Ben Revere proud!
Corporal Valdal Verified Member Posted April 5, 2019 Author Posted April 5, 2019 Dude, love your initiative.. However, I got to ask.. What is your record in GDTs? 0-2 so far this season
Barkerfan23 Verified Member Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 umm So is Brito like a prospect that has hitting tools and a high celing or is this the case of putting the fast black guy on the top of the lineup? Cause he is fast
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 Brito leading off is just... Utterly dumb at this point. He might be something eventually, but he's not that thing yet...
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 Brito leading off is just... Utterly dumb at this point. He might be something eventually, but he's not that thing yet... This has to be at the request of Shatkins.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 f*** guys - we've been no-hit through 6 innings like 3 times now. Montoyo's just throwing everything against the wall and hoping that something sticks.
Barkerfan23 Verified Member Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 Brito .994 OPS and .403 OBP vs. RHP in AAA last year. 99% percentile sprint speed and hit a ball 105 mph for an out yesterday. = leadoff hitter in lost season. was this in the same league that JPA won the MVP award?
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 A guy named Socrates can never be a good baseball player... But here we are, leadoff hitter for the 2019 blue jays.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 A guy named Socrates can never be a good baseball player... But here we are, leadoff hitter for the 2019 blue jays. I disagree, Socrates Brito is like a 70 grade name. It's no Max Pentecost, but we've lost him now, so we have to make do.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 A guy named Socrates can never be a good baseball player... But here we are, leadoff hitter for the 2019 blue jays. I feel the exact opposite as you on this matter. Socrates Brito is a superstar name.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 I disagree, Socrates Brito is like a 70 grade name. It's no Max Pentecost, but we've lost him now, so we have to make do. In what universe is a guy named Socrates lower on the name grade scale than one named "Max"?
onwego Verified Member Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 In what universe is a guy named Socrates lower on the name grade scale than one named "Max"? I can think of a noted Brazilian soccer star of the 80s, a man made to drink hemlock more than 2000 years ago (possibly reflected in famous dialogues) and an Isocrates around the same time as a philosopher.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 Shatkins really wants the #1 pick in 2020 lol.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 I disagree, Socrates Brito is like a 70 grade name. It's no Max Pentecost, but we've lost him now, so we have to make do. Disagree. It's got be an 80-grade name.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 Disagree. It's got be an 80-grade name. Nah, the last name isn't good enough for 80 grade. Maybe if it was Socrates El'Enchus or something.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 Best current baseball name that I can think of is Sicnarf Loopstok.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 In what universe is a guy named Socrates lower on the name grade scale than one named "Max"? Max Pentecost is very clearly a spy, in fact there has been fan fiction based on that name alone that alludes to that.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 Disagree. It's got be an 80-grade name. Nah, it's good, but not quite 80, hence my 70 assessment. Rowdy Tellez is an 80 grade name.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 Brito hits the ball really hard into the ground. One of these days its going to bounce over an infielders head for a hit!
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 Thought McKinney had it there.
Ray Verified Member Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 McKinney hit it at 106 mph. xBA of .960. Just terrible luck.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 McKinney hit it at 106 mph. xBA of .960. Just terrible luck. f***ing hell, .960 xBA lol.
