Omar Old-Timey Member Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 Brewers vs Bosox would have been a better series.
HealthDream007 Verified Member Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 I actually thought you were one of the guys he has gone after. He just has unreasonable hatred for the Sox. I don't remember it, but it's possible. The medication I'm on really screws with my memory badly at times. Frustrating, but better than being dead though is the way I look at it.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 And that's game. A shame, because if not for that lucky infield hit they at least would have a chance against Kimbrel. But the Red Sox are not only an excellent team, they also have excellent luck. Seriously, I think I hate them more than the Yankees now, what a spoiled fan base. I've been saying for a while now that I have a lot more confidence in the Sox F.O. to f*** this up. The talent level is possibly too high for it to happen in the near future, but a rash of injuries and you never know. i do agree that I've almost never met a Sox fan I like, but I respect a really talented team.

HealthDream007 Verified Member Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 Machado's dirty AF! Really inexcusable to do this s***, this isn't Ty Cobb's time anymore.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 Damn Roberts is so dumn even the President had to Tweet about it. The one time the entire country can agree with each other. Roberts bringing people together.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 Machado's dirty AF! Blowing bubbles..
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 Blowing bubbles.. He spikes Pearce right after that, wish he broke his own ankle.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 He spikes Pearce right after that, wish he broke his own ankle. Not sure he did it on purpose but I wouldnt be surprised....but who has the time to blow a bubble when legging it out to first?
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 Not sure he did it on purpose but I wouldnt be surprised....but who has the time to blow a bubble when legging it out to first? Correction.........he did it on purpose.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 Correction.........he did it on purpose. Definitely looks intentional.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 Like all Roberts post games it is awkward. But if Hill actually said what he says, it wouldn't fill me with confidence. Alexander didn't even come close to doing his job but this is where I think he overthinks it. His intention was Alexander get Holt out and keep JBJ, Devers and Moreland on the bench and face Vazquez (which makes sense to me). Does Alexander's walk change the plan that much? Why not let Alexander face Vazquez at least and then see who comes out to the circle at least and see if you like that matchup (likely Kinsler). He didn't explain why Madson over Baez but it sounds like he was looking ahead.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 Dave Roberts is a moron. Not the first time he has done this. Analytics are great....but there are times you let your starter stay in longer.

And there are a lot of them out there.

But then again, he put Jansen (Who also pitched 2 IP last game) in for the 8th. So did he every say that he was going to pitch Jansen for the 8th and the 9th (if Jansen didn't give up the lead), or was he just putting him in the 8th to face the meat of the order? Either way, I just think with the bullpen taxed it made more sense to go with Hill for a little while longer. Edited October 28, 2018 by HealthDream007
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 Dave Roberts lost the game for the Dodgers.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 Apparently Price is now starting tonight instead of Sale, but Sale will be available in relief.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 Apparently Price is now starting tonight instead of Sale, but Sale will be available in relief. At least we'll get to see a Game 6.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 Apparently Price is now starting tonight instead of Sale, but Sale will be available in relief. I would be shocked if we see Sale tonight.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 I would be shocked if we see Sale tonight. If it's a close game late, I think it's a given we'll see him. Tomorrow is an off day if they lose, so they'll just use it as his throw day. The bullpens of both teams are destroyed right now.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 At least we'll get to see a Game 6. Don’t be too confident. Dave Roberts is still managing the Dodgers.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 Kevin Barker is a 40-year man with a 15 year old haircut. I just can’t take this guy seriously at all.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 LETS GO DODGERS *CLAP, CLAP* *CLAP, CLAP, CLAP* cf
