bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 It's not really about greed, it's about getting what he is contractually obligated to receive. you dont think its unethical to get paid grossly more than you deserve?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 maybe hes not a greedy **** He's been through a lot of surgery and rehab, he isn't calling it a day, not yet.

BTS Community Moderator Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 maybe hes not a greedy **** In the 20 years I’ve been watching baseball closely, the only player I remember walking away from serious guaranteed money is Gil Meche.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2018 Author Posted July 31, 2018 In the 20 years I’ve been watching baseball closely, the only player I remember walking away from serious guaranteed money is Gil Meche. Ryan Dempster too
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 you dont think its unethical to get paid grossly more than you deserve? In a vacuum..sure. But, given the money in baseball it's arguable he is underpaid. Baseball has guaranteed contracts agreed upon through collective bargaining. It's fine not to like that. Nobody held a gun to the Rockies when they offered it to him, nor the Jays when they willingly traded for it.
SaskJaysFan_2 Verified Member Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 The buzz I hear is that the team is announcing a 5-year extension. With a club option for a 6th.
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 you dont think its unethical to get paid grossly more than you deserve? No one in their right mind would walk away from $60MM at age 33, he earned his contract and also earned his chance to rehab back even if he never makes it.

He also earned the bare minimum torment for being a useless sack of s*** that $60 million buys. Fair trade.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2018 Author Posted July 31, 2018 Tulowitzki said he made himself heard in the 40-minute post-game meeting after Monday's 10-1 loss: "Any time things are talked about I’m definitely going to give my input because I care. I played a part." #Bluejays

This is the first time since we acquired him that I heard him say something like this.
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 So what was it? He carved some offensive lyrics into a fence post as a teen and wanted to come clean & apologize before it gets out there
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2018 Author Posted July 31, 2018 No imminent return to game action for Tulowitzki. "As far as my health is concerned, I’m feeling better but just not ready to get back out there quite yet. When I come back I have to be right to play every single day." #Bluejays
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 In other words, a nothing burger. Why even have a media meet

King Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 Lol @ everyone who thought it was retirement
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 Assuming he can actually take the field next year he'll add to the glut of infield slop on the roster next year.

Well considering the money hes making he has to play as well. I don't know how he can play SS though if he was already losing a step at SS and now has had surgery on both feet. I do really hope he can back on the field and contribute though.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 LOL Tulo, forgot he existed until today, too bad he never retired.
