glory Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 Acetrada pumping up that trade value. Another good couple of starts and the Jays might have the two most desirable sp trade chips.

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 Beautiful play there by Solarte and Smoak.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 A run of good starts by all the guys you want to dump and we may not be sellers. Nah we are out of it. Estrada had a good start, Pearce had three hits, and we are still about to lose. Jays are too big in a hole with way too many games left against Boston and NY to think they have a chance.
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 A run of good starts by all the guys you want to dump and we may not be sellers. That can't save us 11 games back of a wild card and still can't hit.

Wouldn't that give them a potentially better chance of getting hot and catching either of those two?
metafour Verified Member Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 Wouldn't that give them a potentially better chance of getting hot and catching either of those two? No, because they are quite obviously inferior to both of those teams.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2018 Posted June 24, 2018 Maybe a bit of a break on that check swing.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2018 Posted June 24, 2018 Stroman looking pretty good in the first inning.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2018 Posted June 24, 2018 Stroman looks good. Groundballs and Ks with no walks.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2018 Posted June 24, 2018 Great throw Pillar! It's nice to have Stroman's passion back on the field, though I know many won't necessarily agree with me.

I don't mind some passion on the field. It's the twitter crap and stuff off the field that bothers me personally. Still, I'll take that any day over other headlines players make.

TheHurl Site Manager Posted June 24, 2018 Posted June 24, 2018 It's nice to see Stroman pitch out of his jams. The GB singles are fine, he's going to have those...but early in the year he seemed to go away from what he was doing with men on.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2018 Posted June 24, 2018 Loving the implementation of the 4 seam up in the zone. Stroman has been amazing. Even the hits were mostly weak groundballs.

It would be interesting to go to 2 outfielders and 5 infielders when Stroman pitches. He gives up such a small percentage of fly balls, you'd probably come out well ahead even if a few outfield hits go for an extra base.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2018 Posted June 24, 2018 He definitely came off the base (it happened after where they paused it).
TheHurl Site Manager Posted June 24, 2018 Posted June 24, 2018 They should credit him with a double (or whatever the play was, I came in just to see the slow motion replay) and no assist. He was safe at 2nd and out trying to advance further.

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2018 Posted June 24, 2018 he tagged up from first so I guess its moot. There was a SB in an earlier game today with similar circumstance. The runner clearly beat the throw, but overslid the bag. Should it count as a SB and, I don't know, pickoff or something, or a CS?
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2018 Posted June 24, 2018 Oh has been throwing bullets Speaking of bullets...
5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted June 24, 2018 Posted June 24, 2018 What happened to the offense? These haven't been great pitchers they've been facing. This has been the first series that I've watched in awhile.
