Ray Verified Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Top to bottom, is this the best our farm system has ever been? Seems well rounded and full of depth event outside Vlad and Bo. Nice to see AAA is finally full of young prospects instead of MLB retreads.

CBlake Verified Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 I'm considering a trip down to see a game or two when NH heads to Binghamton in a couple weeks, but at this rate maybe they'll have outgrown AA by then I don't think there is much of a chance for a promotion in the next couple weeks, you should be safe. Plus is the jump to triple A all that big, it might come down to where they think he fits in better.

They'll be in AA at least until the MiLB All-Star games, then close-out the year in Buffalo and possible Sept call-ups. Shapiro is very conservative and deliberate with player development, but also there's no good reason to promote them from AA to AAA, since the pitching isn't much different. These days AAA is just where players get stuck if they can't break into the bigs, AA is the real proving ground.

It could explain why Tellez fell off the map once he moved up.
