Just a heads up if anyone is looking for mlb.tv for super cheap ie $5 T-mobile is having their annual free mlb.tv offer.

If you go over to slickdeals.net you can find people selling them for $5 in amazon gift cards.

There is a catch.

You must give them your account and password (or you can create another account). They must redeem it through an T-mobile device only and you can only use it through a computer. If you try and use it on your smartphone or anytime its connected through a phone provider other than T-mobile you will likely have access disabled.

This worked for me all of last season fyi

You must also not have a current subscription to mlb.tv or must have cancelled your renewal by March 22nd at the latest.

You can verify everything worked by going to your subscriptions on mlb.com and it should say mlb.tv access until Feb 2019.

Yeah I didn't it was on my laptop. Might be a work filter or something though, but it was working earlier. It's cheap enough to give it another spin worst case scenario

I’m using the VPN’s to be cautious I pay and use them already. So far I have been able to watch all games played today. You will need the VPN to watch the Blue Jays to avoid blackouts if you’re in the Toronto area.

No more blackouts in Toronto for the past few years. I haven't needed it when I had MLB.tv the last 2 years.

Well that’s good I just assumed since I get blacked out of most things. I have a system that works tho and I’m happy.

no i was using Private Internet Access. Just an FYI for everyone, using PVA with MLB.tv doesn't seem to work,, pretty much every game was being blacked out. I was using my regular non VPN network from Canada and pretty much everything works fine except for the national TV games in the US.

off topic, but I realized that they updated mlb.tv features but how can i make the feed start from the beginning of the game and not the live part of the game. Previously they had this option where the feed would start from the start of the game even though you join in the middle of the game

Last year they flagged anyone that was off the T-mobile network during the sign-up process. Once you were signed up you could use the app or watch on the computer/ other platforms using any network (for me Verizon in the USA and Rogers in Canada). I only know this because I got booted last year and called to find out why and then had to use my friend's MLB TV account all season (who also had gotten it free from someone else's T-mobile account). That's at least what was explained to me by phone and I had no issue watching from his account on the Verizon and Rogers networks all season.
