I am not a pearce hater but i don't see what purpose he serves here. We are in transition, we need younger more dynamic players and we have one in Teo who is ready to rock.

If we had a major league caliber Outfielder in Left good chance that could have been a clean inning.

I don't want him platooning either. I want him starting in LF with grandy spot starting and providing whatever else he can give at this point. It will come at some point this year.

Should be Pearce at DH and Grandy in LF against RHP, and then Pearce in LF and Morales at DH against lefties. But then we’d have carry a slow as dirt DH as a platoon bat off the bench, which would suck.

Cutting Morales would be pretty pointless and a massive waste of funds. If you can eat half his salary and move him I will take it. That way we can upgrade the Outfield defense and never have Donaldson play third base days games after night games. We really need DH open for resting purposes. Travis and Tulo if he plays this season will need to DH once a week as well.

 

We are probably stuck with Morales for this season. So you just hope he can hit more balls in the air because he crushes baseball at an elite exit velocity off the bat.

Teo deserves to make this team. Hes been great all Spring and had a great September. Wouldn’t be a good look. But having options is a bitch and they have guaranteed the playing time go Granderson and Grich

Don't get to ahead of yourself just because Teoscar had a great spring. He needs to put up good numbers while playing every day in AAA and he'll be the starting LF in 2019 or sooner with injuries.

Last september as well. He was hitting bombs off playoff pitching. Our LF situation just doesn't work for me and i think Teo is ready based on the sample size i have seen. Won't be long either way, he should be up before summer, imo.
